{"id":8897,"date":"2026-07-28T10:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-07-28T10:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wamysn.org\/?p=8897"},"modified":"2026-10-18T19:14:59","modified_gmt":"2026-10-18T19:14:59","slug":"wamy-senegal-30-years","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wamysn.org\/en\/wamy-senegal-30-years\/","title":{"rendered":"WAMY Celebrates 30 Years Since the Opening of Its Office in Senegal"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) office in Senegal celebrated 30 years since its opening at a ceremony held at the King Fahd Palace Hotel in Dakar under the theme \u201cThirty Years of Giving,\u201d attended by representatives of government bodies, religious families, youth associations and the office\u2019s partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ceremony opened with a welcome to the guests by journalist Dr. Fadel Gueye, followed by an address from WAMY Secretary-General Dr. Saleh bin Ibrahim Baabeer. Office director Dr. Fathi Eid Mohamed then presented thirty years of achievements in education, health, relief and building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speakers praised WAMY\u2019s work in Senegal:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Head of NGOs at the Ministry of the Interior:<\/strong> WAMY is an outstanding model among the organizations working in Senegal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Director of Arabic Education at the Ministry of Education:<\/strong> WAMY has trained 5,000 teachers and supported education in Senegal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Chief of Staff to the Minister of Finance:<\/strong> WAMY works with full transparency and deserves every appreciation and respect.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Representative of youth associations:<\/strong> WAMY is a pioneer of youth work in Senegal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Senegal\u2019s religious families also commended WAMY\u2019s efforts over 30 years, and the WAMY volunteer team expressed their pride in the organization. At the close of the ceremony, a number of partners and supporters were honored with certificates of appreciation and plaques, including the coordinator of the surgical camps and medical
